'End of Part One'/'Part Two' captions were something of a quaint British tradition that were still seen in the early 00s, but the practice now is just to show the programme name/title card. Sometimes this is still superimposed over the action rather than a separate 'bumper', but are always (apart from with purchased imports) burnt into the programme.

I quite liked the Sky One style of 'return to programme graphics' played in live over the action. I think ABC1 did this too in the 00s. This is the usual practice in Australia (network logo, programne title and guidance rating) but often there Australian programmes no bumper or caption at all coming out of a part. A quick fade to black and straight into a trailer or ad.

I've seen BBC WN do that but with their generic graphics.

Also thanks guys for the information about bumpers being required in the UK. Im surprised NBC didn't remove them to fit another promo or ad in.

The UK channels also differ when it comes to bumpers on imported programming such as from the US.

Sky for example has always added bumpers, usually taken from the show's title sequence, such as The Simpsons or Modern Family, and added them into the show itself (crossfading from the previous scene). Channel 4 doesn't bother however - on their main channel they have bumpers based on the trailer style, but on E4 they just go straight to the break. I think ITV used to do it this way too, but now they just go straight to the ITV logo bumper rather than a programme slide.

There's also the programmes with the burned in UK Gold bumpers, from the 1997 era, which still turn up when watching them on a UKTV channel like Gold, Drama, Yesterday etc to this day.

The Tunnel - Sabotage is being released on DVD in May, so a Sky Atlantic tx must be imminent.

The Tunnel - Sabotage has been advertised as "coming soon" on Sky Atlantic yet Sky.com says it's coming April 5th.

The red tops are all over it for the drama's supposed 'pornography.'

If you thought EastEnders plugging BBC Three online was bad, you have not seen the worst, then.

KBS, the supposed-to-be South Korean equivalent of the BBC, have been pushing their own drama Descendants of the Sun on their news bulletins, especially the flagship 9 pm bulletin on KBS1. They claimed the drama was popular everywhere around the world, and that the BBC have praised it. I believe those items should have gone to KBS's own show-biz show.

When I saw them, I just felt like... Aaaaaaahhh... God. No... Sad Crying or Very sad

R.I.P. the ruined editorial independence of KBS.

The whole of series 2 of The Tunnel: Sabotage is on Sky Box Sets. NOW TV customers have to wait until the weekly transmission on Sky Atlantic.

Actually just to add to this, It's been reported that Descendants of the Sun has been picked up for the UK, France, and Germany.





At this time, we don't know which TV station are going to broadcast this, but I put my bet it would be BBC 2 or 4 that may broadcast this. I can definitely ruled out Channel 4/Walter Presents.

Also via London K-drama club, I found out Walter Presents is looking into picking up K-dramas according to these 2 tweets from Walter Present:









So this seem to indicate that Walter Iuzzolino is paying special attention to K-dramas (and maybe Asian TV dramas). So it looks like my prediction could become true this year or next year.

Sorry for another post, just thought people on this forum need to know this. Channel 4 is going to broadcast the Spanish drama, Locked up aka Vis a vis. Looks like this was acquire back in April:
